Jeka Riserva 2016

Jeka Riserva 2016
- +
$125.99

Jeka 2016 is a collaboration between wine connoisseur Daniel Čečavac DipWSET and iconic Grabovac estate winery from Imotski. The essence of “Jeka” is built on synergy of Dalmatian terroirs and its indigenous varieties. Jeka 2016 combines three exceptional grand cru sites; super 80+ years old vines of Plavac Mali from Dingač (Pelješac) and Sv.Nedilja (Hvar) that come from Drme and Napole lieux-dits providing concentration, structure and power. The other half of the blend comes from lieu-dit Vučja Draga (Imotski) situated in hinterland Dalmatia with Vranac vines planted on 350 m of elevation, giving freshness, elegance and finesse to the blend. Combination of poor limestone soils, old vines, south aspect and good drainage ensures exceptionally concentrated healthy fruit with low yields. Jeka 2016 has been matured for 24 months in 50% new extra fine grained French oak (Tronçais and Allier) and additional 24 months in bottle.
