Olet’te Wines is a female-founded and female-managed winery located in Napa Valley, California. Proprietor Jenny Lynn Heim founded the winery with a desire to craft quality wine from historic vineyard locations in Napa Valley and Sonoma wine region. The small lot wines created by Olet’te use grapes that are sustainably farmed, hand-picked, and basket pressed. The name of the winery – Olet’te – means “coyote” in the Coastal Native language of the tribes that used to call Napa and Sonoma their home. Jenny chose the name as an homage to her youth and the stories her father used to tell her about the local native tribes. For this wine, Jenny was fortunate to be able to source grapes from the famous Dehlinger vineyard, which fans of Pinot Noir recognize as a key reference point for Russian River Pinot Noir vineyards.

The wine is an aromatic powerhouse, delivering the depth and substance you would expect from a Russian River Pinot Noir. In addition to earthiness, expect plenty of red and black fruit complemented by spice on the nose. On the palate, tart cherry pie with nice tannins and an earthy flavor. This elegant, structured wine is exactly what Russian River Pinot Noir is supposed to be.
