Freezy Dizzy is a 3rd saison in Pulfer’s “Four season’s saison” series that represents winter. The goal of this one is to expand limits that define traditional saison beers. They did it by pushing hops to crazy amounts, recreating body and texture, and letting the yeast do its job at un-ordinary conditions! The aroma is a complex spectrum: at first, you have funky, bubblegum, and raspberries-like with a lot of tropical and fruity aromas from hops (Nelson Sauvin and Pacific Jade). Body in enhanced with oats that gave silky texture, and then at the end, you got lots of spicy aromas, grapes and wine-like flavor, black pepper, and floral notes. It’s like NEIPA combined with saison – hoppy, silky and funky.
